Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelbessa G1
Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Chelbessa G1
The Chelbessa Washing Station is one of the largest in the Yirgacheffe region, serving approximately 500 smallholder farmers annually. Most of the farmers cultivate relatively small plots of coffee, alongside other crops grown for personal use. Ripe coffee cherries are often delivered multiple times during the harvest season, where they are then combined with coffee from multiple farms in the surrounding area. Ethiopia is known for producing unique, delicate coffees, and this one is no exception.
What We Taste: Black tea-like and fresh lemon flavors dominate, with backing notes of cooked berries and dried jasmine.
